ASSESSMENT COORDINATOR

Research Technician III
Associate Dean’s Office/CCOE

Salary Range: $4,476 - $8,097/Monthly

Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday to Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; exempt classification. Temporary one-year appointment from the date of hire; may be extended; may become permanent.

Essential Functions: Under the guidance of the Associate Dean, the incumbent assumes administrative responsibility for research, systematic collection of data, data analysis/management, data display tools (e.g., Tableau), and reporting for program improvements across the college. The incumbent will: provide operational oversight for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of customer relationship management and enterprise data system (e.g., PeopleSoft) to use for building capacity for outreach, recruitment, online program admissions, and applicant/student tracking; provide support for overall office automation planning and coordination to support work efficiency and reduction in the reliance on paper and paper-based systems; serve as a member of the Assessment Task Force (ATF) to guide the work of the ATF to   maintain and improve on college-wide assessment systems. Under the direction of the Associate Dean, the incumbent will: assist in the development of improved assessment tools, measures, and approaches, including survey development; work with the Teacher Performance Assessment (TPA) Coordinator to maintain TPA database and run/automate applicable reports; oversee the college's work related to participation rates in statewide, system-wide, local school districts, and other IHE data collecting, sharing, and reporting endeavors; work with data sets, conduct analyses based on program needs, and write corresponding reports; manage the tracking of assessments  across divisions and programs to ensure that assessment systems are in place for Annual Reporting to the CTC, Program Review, and other accreditation activities; collaborate with ATF and other faculty on the dissemination of assessment data results and program improvements; work with Academic Affairs Instructional Technology, Institutional Research, and college ITCs for improved and timely reporting and to keep positive communication and sharing of knowledge and resources as appropriate to improve college operations.

Special emphasis placed on working with Doctoral Program Directors on tasks described above, including but not limited to: systematic assessment as needed for the Chancellor's Office, WASC Accreditation, Program Review, Annual Reporting, and other accreditation; attend Ed.D. Assessment Committee meetings; provide operational oversight for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of customer relationship management system to use for building capacity for outreach, recruitment, online program admissions, and applicant/student tracking for the doctoral programs; and serve on the evacuation team, participate in and support CCOE  events, and other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications & Experience: Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university. Additional qualifying professional experience may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. Three years of progressively responsible technical research or statistical experience including or supplemented by one year in the interpretation and graphic presentation of data. Graduate study in the social sciences, economics, mathematics, statistics, public or business administration, or engineering may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. The incumbent must possess good communication skills; an ability to exhibit patience and work under pressure; meet deadlines, draft, and prepare reports; and maintain confidentiality. Must have the ability and/or interest in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment.

Desired Qualifications: A graduate degree. The ability to work independently and to demonstrate initiative. Experience in automation of data sets, and administrative operations, including providing work direction to others. The incumbent must have experience in survey  development and compilation; analysis and reporting of data; and using CRM and enterprise data systems.
