Administrative Support Coordinator I
Professional and Global Education (PaGE) International Office 

Salary Range: $3,064 - $5,148/Monthly

Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Temporary appointment expires on or before one year from date of hire; may be extended; may become permanent.; non-exempt classification.

Essential Functions: Under the general supervision of the Director of International Programs and Services, the incumbent is the lead operational and administrative coordinator for International Programs and Global Engagement (IPGE). The incumbent will work closely with the Director to coordinate fiscal operations, including monthly budget reconciliation and tracking, and will also serve as the primary liaison to the campus health insurance provider for international students. The Administrative Coordinator is responsible for a wide variety of tasks including coordinating and processing travel requests and claims for all staff in IPGE, as well as students and faculty participating in faculty-led study abroad programs; coordinating office purchases and requisitions; processing paperwork related to hospitality and events; coordinating with IPGE staff to ensure that program flyers, materials, and promotional giveaways are on hand and readily available for events, outreach, and visitors; coordinating and scheduling international delegation visits; coordinate
administrative and clerical process for J-1 scholars exchange program; serving as the timekeeper for IPGE; and maintaining a Standard Operations Manual for administrative processes related to IPGE.

Required Qualifications & Experience: Equivalent to three years of general office experience, which included providing ongoing work coordination and/or lead responsibilities with notable accountability for the work results of support staff or unit administrative function. The incumbent must have the ability and specialized skills to interpret and apply a wide variety of policies and procedures; apply judgment, discretion, and initiative in establishing priorities and providing follow-up; analyze operational and procedural problems and develop, recommend, and evaluate proposed solutions; multi-task competing priorities; communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships; operate standard office equipment and software; and work with a diverse student and faculty population. The incumbent must have a demonstrated interest and/or ability to work in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered.

Desired Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Knowledge of PeopleSoft, Student and Exchange Information System (SEVIS J-1 visas), familiarity with the CSU system and its policies, previous work experience with international students and faculty.
