Salary Range: $2912 - $5208/Monthly

Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Nights and weekends may be required; non-exempt classification.

Essential Functions: The incumbent, under the direction of the assistant director of Baseline Services, delivers and sets-up Baseline workstation equipment in computer classrooms, open access labs (OALs ), faculty and administrative offices; prepares, images and tests new computer workstations; resolves hardware and software image problems; gathers all asset management data, such as serial numbers and state asset numbers; performs federal standard Department of Defense hard drive format prior to surveying old computers. The incumbent also performs preventative maintenance, diagnoses equipment malfunctions, and corrective actions, and assists with the supervision and work coordination of student assistants.

Required Qualifications & Experience: Associate of arts degree in electronics, telecommunications, or industrial technology or equivalent education, training, and/or directly related experience. Hands-on experience removing old computers, setting up new computers, installing and testing hardware, and imaging computers. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365. Knowledge of: computer troubleshooting and repairs; PC, Macintosh, laptop and tablet computers, operating systems, and applications; how operating system, software and hardware interact for problem identification; security procedures and best practices related to campus systems; and data cleaning, cloning devices and software. Must have good verbal, written and listening communication skills and demonstrable skills in problem resolution. Ability to: organize work and tasks to be completed simultaneously or sequentially without degradation in work integrity; work as a team; and provide excellent customer service. Demonstrated interest and ability to work in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU. Desired Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in a related field.
