Salary Range: $3,120 - $4,592/Monthly

Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; non-exempt classification.

Essential Functions: Under general supervision of the Assistant Director of Experiential Learning, while working closely with the Student Employment and Internships Coordinator, the incumbent will support the Experiential Learning Office for the Career Center. Day-to-day work consists of independently performing administrative duties, managing multiple work priorities, providing assistance to others in work processes and procedures, and contributing to the efficient operation of the Experiential Learning Office and the Career Center. The role includes coordinating with students, faculty, staff, and both on and off campus community partners to gather routine information and solve problems guided by CSU, state, Federal, and institutional policies. Perform and coordinate the administrative work activities related to the experiential learning office, which include the recruitment and selection processes for student assistants on campus, the compliance processes for student interns, and coordination of the employment recruitment activities by off-campus employers seeking to hire students and alumni.

Required Qualifications & Experience: Equivalent to two years of general administrative experience. Thorough knowledge of office methods, procedures, and practices. Fluency in using standard office software packages, support technology and systems, and office equipment, including databases and spreadsheets. Competence in understanding, interpreting, and effectively communicating standard procedures, policies, information, ideas, and instruction orally and in writing. Proficient knowledge of customer service excellence, including active listening, active problem solving, and effective interpersonal skills. Strong written and oral communication skills, including through knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Able to perform work independently with general instructions and using sound judgment and discretion. Ability to learn, interpret independently, and apply a variety of complex policies and procedures. Able to identify deviations from applicable policies. Ability to apply independent judgment, discretion, and initiative to address problems and develop practical, thorough, and, at times, creative solutions. Able to perform standard arithmetic functions of a transactional nature, including tracking and comparing data. Able to work well in a fast-paced environment and be detailed oriented and accurate. Able to work effectively in a team maintaining open communication, flexibility, cooperation, engagement, and positive relationships. Incumbent must demonstrate an interest or ability in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU. Desired Qualifications: General working knowledge of applicable university, human resource management, and employment infrastructure, policies, and procedures.
