Administrative Support Assistant I
Office for Students with Disabilities

 

Salary Range: $3120 - $3829/Monthly

Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; non-exempt classification.

Essential Functions: Under the supervision of the OSD Director and Associate Director, the incumbent provides clerical support to the Office for Students with Disabilities. The incumbent will provide proactive front counter customer service to students, faculty, and staff regarding scheduling appointments, distributing forms, answering phones, and delivering accurate information about OSD services. The incumbent will: assist with alternative testing requests; maintain process and accountability of exams, proctoring, and return of test materials; assist in the supervision of student assistants; and ensure supply of OSD Policies and Procedures and related forms and brochures are available in the office.

 

Required Qualifications & Experience: Equivalent to one year of full-time general office experience. Working knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Basic knowledge of applicable university infrastructure, policies, and procedures. Fundamental writing and presentation skills to effectively communicate. Ability to: use standard office equipment; use standard word processing and related computer software packages; identify and solve standard problems and refer more complex problems to appropriate staff; perform basic mathematical functions; and respond to routine inquiries and explain standard policies and procedures to others. Demonstrated interest and ability to work in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the application status of applicants or continued employment of current CSU employees who may apply for the position.
