Salary Range: $4,678 - $11,547/Monthly

Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; exempt classification.

Essential Functions: The incumbent works independently, under the direction of the manager of Baseline Services, to schedule computer service repairs with vendors, maintains and repairs computing equipment; performs preventative maintenance, diagnoses equipment malfunctions, and performs corrective actions. The incumbent uses technical knowledge and judgment to prioritize work.  Incumbent delivers and sets up Baseline workstation equipment in computer classrooms,  Open Access Labs (OALs), faculty and administrative offices; prepares, images, and tests new computer workstations; resolves hardware and software image problems; gathers all asset management data, such as serial numbers and state asset numbers; performs federal standard Department of Defense level hard drive format prior to surveying old computers; prepares and distributes instructional materials to end-users; assists with the supervision and work coordination of student assistants.

Required Qualifications & Experience: An associate of arts degree in electronics, telecommunications, or industrial technology or equivalent education, training, and/or directly related experience. At least three years of hands-on experience removing old baseline computers, setting up new computers, installing and testing hardware and operating system, application software, and imaging systems in computer labs or equipment education, training, and/or directly related experience. The incumbent must possess: thorough knowledge of PC, Macintosh, laptop, and tablet computers, operating systems, and applications; thorough knowledge of how operating systems, software, and hardware interact for problem identification; working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365; knowledge of security procedures and best practices related to campus systems; knowledge of data cleaning, cloning devices, and software; demonstrable skills in problem resolution, data gathering, requirements definition, analysis, and design; good verbal, written, and listening communication skills; ability to organize projects and oversee tasks to be completed simultaneously or sequentially without degradation in work integrity; ability to work as a team; and ability to provide excellent customer service. Incumbent must demonstrate an interest or ability in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU.
