Salary Range: $3,764 - $4,604/Monthly

Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; some evenings and weekends; non-exempt classification.

Essential Functions: Under the direction of the Associate Director of Recruitment, the incumbent is responsible for providing information regarding California State University admission policy and requirements, developing relationships with prospective students, parents, the on and off-campus community, and encouraging qualified students to apply, and enroll at Cal State LA. The emphasis is upon the recruitment, admissions, and ultimate enrollment of students through a variety of approaches. This generalist recruitment position employs a variety of recruitment techniques and strategies, depending on the recruitment cycle and the workload needs of the unit.

Required Qualifications & Experience: The incumbent must possess: the equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university in one of the behavioral sciences, public or business administration or a job-related field; specialized experience during which the applicant has acquired and successfully applied the knowledge and abilities shown above may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis; excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to speak in public forums and conduct presentations; and access to a reliable form of transportation. Travel is required. Incumbent must demonstrate an interest or ability in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the application status of applicants or continued employment of current CSU employees who may apply for the position.
