Salary Range: $3,505 - $5,508/Monthly
|
Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Thursday, 1:00 pm. to 10:00 pm, Saturday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Temporary appointment expires on or before one-year from the date of hire; may be extended, may become permanent; non-exempt classification.

Essential Functions: Under the general direction of the Director of Student Services and DTLA Operations, the DTLA Operations Coordinator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the downtown Los Angeles (DTLA) campus, including the upkeep of all classrooms, storage rooms, administrative area, AV and security systems, and providing a safe environment for students, faculty, staff, visitors and events participants. Specifically, the incumbent works closely with Director of DTLA Operations and Student Services, Director of Outreach and Recruitment, and DTLA staff to provide logistical support for classes, meetings and other DTLA activities, as well as troubleshooting operational issues. The incumbent will provide administrative and office operations support for purchasing, maintenance, housekeeping, office supply and equipment inventory and billing processes occurring at the DTLA campus. The incumbent will also assist with general office operations: maintain records; open and close the campus site; obtain and track parking validations, prepare event reservations and services; and assist with any immediate and preventative maintenance requests and activities. The incumbent should be professional, customer-focused, and able to work in a diverse and dynamic environment.

Required Qualifications & Experience: Equivalent to three years of general office experience, which included providing ongoing work coordination and/or lead responsibilities with notable accountability for the work results of support staff or unit administrative function. Must have solid skills in managing and coordinating multiple operational tasks and duties and providing customer service skills. Possess excellent interpersonal, organizational and project management skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to: work well in a team-oriented environment; prioritize and work in a busy office environment; independently handling multiple activities at the same time; pay attention to detail and accuracy; learn and comply with campus policies and procedures; and handle effectively a broad range of interpersonal contacts, including students, faculty, staff, vendors, and those at a higher level. The incumbent must have a demonstrated interest and/or ability in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the application status of applicants or continued employment of current CSU employees who may apply for the position.

Desired Qualifications: Solid experience in performing and/or managing office or building operations. Audio visual (AV) and/or computer maintenance skills.
