HRM GENERALIST 
Administrative Support Coordinator II
Human Resources Management 

Salary Range: $3,865 - $6,336/Monthly 

Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; non-exempt classification.

Essential Functions: Under the general supervision of the Director, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, is primarily responsible for providing day-to-day administrative support for the Title IX/Discrimination, Harassment and Retaliation (DHR) unit and independently performs duties associated with general operations. The position requires the ability to act with independence, timeliness, strict confidentiality, and work under pressure. The incumbent must have the skills necessary to process and communicate sensitive information and the ability to develop good working relationships with staff, students, faculty, and administrators of all levels within the campus in relation to Title IX and DHR programs and policies. The incumbent assists with administering CSU’s Title IX policies and procedures for referrals and supportive measures assessments. Assists in screening telephone calls and visits from within and outside the University to ensure complaints fall under the purview of the office. Assists in gathering information in support of investigation process and conducting intake interviews. Primarily responsible for maintaining confidential logs, calendars, and files. The incumbent is responsible for coordinating mandatory compliance trainings for students and employees related to title IX/DHR requirements.

Required Qualifications & Experience: Equivalent to four years of general office experience, which included providing ongoing work coordination. The incumbent must have experience handling sensitive and confidential data, and issues and/or concerns in employee relations. The incumbent must be excellent at organizing complex information. The incumbent must have the ability to maintain strict confidentiality and to exercise considerable discretion, diplomacy, and good judgment; prioritize work, including setting and meeting deadlines; proficiency in various word processing, presentation and database management software such as Word, Adobe Acrobat, Power Point, Excel and be adaptable to use other database management platforms; proficiency in scheduling and managing virtual meetings on Zoom; draft and compose written correspondence and reports with sufficient knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling, including good proofreading and editing skills; learn, independently interpret, and apply a variety of complex University policies and procedures, as well as federal and state regulations; plan, organize, be sensitive, and perceptive to the workload and deadline demands of work assigned; communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, consistently using effective listening skills; and to work relatively independently, applying good judgment in solving a wide range of problems and developing practical and thorough solutions. The incumbent must have a demonstrated interest and/or ability to work in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the California State University. Desired Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year university or college. Experience with Title IX, EEO or investigations; in a public sector of higher education environment; and with PeopleSoft.
