Administrative Analyst Specialist
Administration and Finance/Special Projects

 

Salary Range: $3694 - $7131/Monthly

 

Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; non-exempt classification.

 

Essential Functions: Under the direction of the administrative operations manager in the division of Administration and Finance, the business analyst will assist in analyzing and improving operational processes and procedures to optimize efficiency and performance within Administration and Finance. This position will collaborate with various departments and individuals  to identify areas for improvement and develop effective solutions to enhance operational efficiencies within the unit; ensure operational processes are regularly reviewed and documented; analyze data and produce reports on operational performance; collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices; assist in the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and collaborate with management in developing and implementing new initiatives and strategies to improve overall operational efficiency; provide comprehensive support to the Administrative Operations Manager and Administration and Finance in areas such as data analytics, reporting, revenue forecasting, expenditure planning, and analysis; coordinate and track projects and initiatives; develop training materials; and establish effective communication and coordination mechanisms.

 

Required Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university and/or equivalent training and one year of administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.  Experience with PeopleSoft, Datawarehouse, Onbase, AdobeSign, etc. Excellent problem identification and resolution skills. Detail-oriented and the ability to produce accurate reports and documentation. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and analyze complex data. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The incumbent must have a demonstrated interest and/or ability in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU. Desired Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience with data analysis tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus. Knowledge of administration and financial business practices, policies and procedures in higher education. Understanding of enterprise systems, such as financials, budgets, human resources, and contracts.
