ASSISTANT TO THE ASSOCIATE DEAN AND CURRICULUM ANALYST
Administrative Analyst/Specialist
Charter College of Education 

Salary Range: $3,288 - $6,347/Monthly

Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; temporary appointment expires on or before one year from date of hire; may be extended; may become permanent; non-exempt classification.

Essential Functions: Under the general supervision of the Associate Dean, the incumbent provides the primary administrative supports for analysis, implementation and evaluation of administrative systems, operations, and planning for the Associate Dean's Office for the Charter College of Education. The incumbent employs policies and procedures, along with use of technology and data systems, to achieve programmatic goals related to curricular development for academic programs, providing support for the operations of the college-wide curriculum committee. The incumbent supervises staff and student assistants to ensure that compliance with applicable academic policies and regulations are used to support student success and tracking of student progress from admission through graduation for graduate students within the college. The incumbent prepares for publication curriculum and reports for internal and external constituents as appropriate, and reviews website for accuracy and currency of programmatic information posted. The incumbent provides additional support for the management of correspondence, calendars, and travel of the Associate Dean.

Required Qualifications & Experience: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and/or administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs. The incumbent requires experience/skills in office management, planning, operations and accountability systems and organizational ability to manage and schedule calendars and travel. The incumbent must have technical skills for data/file management, Microsoft Office and other data bases and information systems; excellent organizational skills, problem-solving ability, follow-through and professional accountability, oral and written communication (including attention to spelling and grammar), and interpersonal skills and flexibility for working with students, staff, faculty, administrators, and  community representatives. The incumbent must have the ability to quickly learn and access information on university and college policies and procedures for curriculum, academic programs, student admissions, registration and progress through graduation. The incumbent must have a demonstrated interest and/or ability to work in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the California State University. Desired Qualifications: Master's degree from an accredited four-year college or university. Experience supervising staff and student assistants with confidence and patience. Experience networking with multiple offices to achieve programmatic goals and to support student success.
