Salary Range: $16.00 - $140.00/Hourly (Budgeted Hiring Salary Range: $30/Hourly)

Work Schedule: Hours to be arranged; temporary appointment ends on/or before August 16, 2024; non-exempt classification.

Essential Functions: In addition to performing the duties assigned to Summer Program Instructor, the Team Leader to EOP's Summer/Transfer Bridge, Summer Workshop and Learning Community students, the incumbent will lead instructional teams that will facilitate curriculum in one or more of the following subject areas: Reading, Writing, Summer Bridge (SB) Seminar, Math, Kinesiology, Library Science, Communication Studies, History, Social Justice, Pan-African Studies (PAS), and/or Chicana(o) and Latina(o) Studies to Bridge students. The incumbent will develop and supervise the curriculum and instruction for EOP's Summer/Transfer Bridge, Summer Workshop and Learning Community courses for EOP students; which will include the development of syllabi that clearly outlines course requirements, rationale, goals, and objectives. Additionally, the incumbent will develop and facilitate the training of the instructional team in the preparation of class sessions and assignments to help students grasp course content and how it integrates with overall student learning outcomes.

Required Qualifications & Experience:  Master's degree in an appropriate field of study (Social Sciences, Arts & Letters, Natural Science, or Education). Strong background in the field they will be teaching; demonstrate clear and verbal communication skills. The incumbent must have a demonstrated interest and/or ability to work in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the California State University. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the application status of applicants or continued employment of current California State University employees who may apply for the position.
