COLLEGE PROJECT ANALYST 
Administrative Analyst Specialist I-NE
College of Business and Economics 

Salary Range: $3,694 - $7,131/Monthly (Budgeted Hiring Salary Range: $3,694 - $4,553/Monthly)

Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; temporary appointment, expires on or before one-year from date of hire; may be extended, may become permanent; non-exempt classification.

Essential Functions: Under the general supervision of the Associate Dean, the incumbent is responsible for providing both independent and in concert with college management and staff high-level staffing, scheduling, and administrative support to the Department offices and is responsible for a variety of duties and autonomous responsibilities. The incumbent assists in overseeing the daily operations of the department offices; provides technical expertise to the areas of scheduling, personnel matters, faculty relations, student assistance, and facilities issues to College and Department staff, acting as lead and trainer to staff in the areas of scheduling, APDB and scholarships. This position works closely with the Associate Dean on lecturer entitlements and tracking. This position also assists the Associate Dean with college committees, and can be called on to represent the College on University committees. This position also assists with the additional employment and assigned time pre-authorization processes.

Required Qualifications & Experience: Equivalent to four years of general office experience. The duties may include overseeing clerical operations and providing lead direction to support staff. The incumbent must have thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling. The incumbent must have the ability to operate Microsoft Office; draft and compose correspondence and standard reports; operate standard office equipment; perform basic arithmetic calculations; plan, organize and prioritize work; work under pressure and handle a heavy workload; handle multiple work unit priorities and projects and meet deadlines; respond to routine inquiries and explain standard policies and procedures; analyze operational problems and develop, recommend, and evaluate proposed solutions; and apply a wide variety of policies and procedures independently where specific guidelines may not exist. The incumbent must have a demonstrated interest and/or ability to work in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the California State University. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the application status of applicants or continued employment of current California State University employees who may apply for the position.
