Salary Range: $4,304 - $6,120/Monthly

Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; temporary position, expires on or before one year from date of hire; may be extended; may become permanent; exempt classification.

Essential Functions: Under the general direction of the Director of the Glazer Family Dreamers Resource Center (DRC), the Coordinator of the Dreamers Resource Center assists in the coordination of operations, programs, and services of the Dreamers Resource Center.

Required Qualifications & Experience: Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in one of the behavioral sciences, public or business administration or a job-related field. Additional specialized experience during which the applicant has acquired and successfully applied the knowledge and abilities shown above may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Equivalent of two years of professional experience in one of the student services program areas or in a related field; experience should give evidence of competence and indicate the potential for further growth. A master’s degree in a job-related field may be substituted for one year of the professional experience. This position requires knowledge and practice of student development theory, counseling and advising practice, and current trends/issues related to college students. Demonstrate knowledge and embrace diversity, equity, and inclusion in serving and supporting undocumented students. Ability to interpret and apply program rules and regulations; use initiative and resourcefulness in planning work assignments and in implementing long-range program improvements; reason logically; collect, compile, analyze and evaluate data and make verbal or written presentations based on these data; possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, advise students individually and in groups on routine matters where required; recognize and embrace diversity, and work accordingly; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with faculty, administrators, student organizations, private and public agencies and others in committee work, and student advising and community contacts; and, rapidly acquire a general knowledge of the overall operation, functions, and programs of the campus. Ability to complete assignments without detailed instructions. Incumbent must demonstrate an interest or ability in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the application status of applicants or continued employment of current CSU employees who may apply for the position.

Desired Qualifications: Familiarity with current local, state, and federal laws affecting undocumented students.  Familiarity with community-based resources and opportunities available to undocumented students and their family members.  Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of unique issues that impact undocumented students and students from mixed-status families. Experience working with multiple constituencies; programming experience; and experience in, or ability to, develop and oversee assessment efforts are preferred. Ability to acquire knowledge of campus procedures, activities, and the overall organization.
