Salary Range: $3505 - $5159/Monthly (Budgeted Hiring Salary Range $3505 - $3919/Monthly)

 

Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; non-exempt classification.

Essential Functions: Under the general supervision of the Resource Manager, the Front Office and IT Administrative Support Assistant serves as the front office receptionist for the College of Natural and Social Sciences (NSS) Dean's Office. The incumbent will: provide general office, clerical, and secretarial support by responding to inquiries from students, faculty, staff, administrators, and guests by phone, email, or in-person and directing to the appropriate Dean's Office area as needed; schedule appointments for NSS employees needing Information Technology Consultant (ITC) support; open and close IT troubleshoot tickets; oversee and maintain NSS conference room calendars; coordinate and schedule computer refreshes; file and log ITC loan agreements and property survey forms; assist college and departments with facility work orders; maintain and monitor key control requests; organize office, event, and technology supplies for the Dean's Office, including ensuring that event supplies are ordered and/or available when needed; review attendance for staff and students in the NSS Dean's Office; assist in hiring and supervising student assistants for the NSS Dean's Office; and assist with college events.

Required Qualifications & Experience: Equivalent to two years of full-time general office experience which includes providing ongoing work coordination and/or lead responsibility with notable accountability for the work results of support staff or the unit administrative functions. Incumbent must have: experience to be fully functional in all technical aspects of work assignments; thorough knowledge of office systems (e.g., GET) and the ability to use a broader range of technology, systems and packages (e.g., Microsoft Office) to independently handle multiple work unit priorities and projects, and to independently apply multiple policies and procedures where specific guidelines may not exist; draft and compose correspondence and standard reports; handle a broad range of interpersonal contacts effectively and efficiently, including those at a higher level and those sensitive in nature; troubleshoot office administration problems and respond to all inquiries and requests related to the work area; analyze operational and procedural problems and develop, recommend, and evaluate proposed solutions; strong problem solving skills and communication skills in oral and written English; the ability to accomplish tasks under pressure to meet deadlines. The incumbent must have a demonstrated interest and/or ability in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU.
