Administrative Analyst Specialist I
College of Professional and Global Education (PaGE)

 

Salary Range: $4,799 - $6,992/Monthly (Budgeted Hiring Salary Range $4,799 - $5,299/Monthly)

 

Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; non-exempt classification.

 

Essential Functions: Under the general supervision of the Senior Director of Business Operations and Finance, the Fiscal Analyst provides day-to-day fiscal and administrative support for the College of Professional and Global Education (PaGE). The incumbent performs a variety of technical and transactional duties to ensure the timely and accurate processing of the College’s financial and personnel activities. Primary responsibilities include tracking and reconciling budgets, revenues, and expenditures; verifying financial transactions for accuracy and compliance; and preparing standard financial reports using established procedures. The incumbent assists in monitoring program budgets and revenue transfers and ensures that all fiscal records are properly documented and maintained in accordance with University and CSU policies. The Fiscal Analyst serves as a resource for faculty, staff, and students by responding to inquiries regarding employee contracts, pay status, and appointment documentation. The position prepares recruitment and transaction forms, processes time and pay records, generates contract letters for extension faculty, and prepares separation documentation as needed. In collaboration with the academic colleges and central administrative offices, the incumbent assists with troubleshooting issues related to the Academic Planning Database (APDB) and PeopleSoft HR entries to ensure accurate reporting of faculty assignments and payroll data. Work is performed in accordance with established guidelines, policies, and procedures, with assignments reviewed for accuracy and compliance.

Required Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience. Experience providing day-to-day administration of a program, and/or performing a variety of administrative, technical, and analytical work related to operations and procedures. Incumbent must have highly developed quantitative and reasoning skills, excellent oral/written communications, listening and interpretive skills and demonstrate a high level of proficiency in the use of MS Office such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Must have the ability to effectively interact with faculty, CSU administrators and staff.  The incumbent must have a demonstrated interest and/or ability in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU. Desired Qualifications: Working knowledge of PeopleSoft and other systems such as Element451, Canvas Catalog and point of sales systems.
