EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT
One-Stop Financial Services

 

Salary Range: $3128- $5662/Monthly

 

Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; non-exempt classification.

 

Essential Functions: Under the general direction of the Golden Eagle Service Center (GESC) Lead, the incumbent performs a range of duties including maintenance and installation of Blackboard hardware & software, monitoring the Pharos Uniprint system, and providing customer service for the One Card functions using the Blackboard Transact. Responsibilities include: performing simple repairs on copier jams; cleaning equipment; replacing toners; troubleshooting equipment and blackboard system failures; reporting network and technical issues; assuring copier/printer equipment is in good working condition; performing routine checks and service; ordering parts and supplies; keeping track of equipment and supplies inventory; completing service calls to vendors; entering access codes for copying/scanning; keeping logs for paper and meter reads; providing door access; performing error resolution and monitoring usage; acting as a cashier; issuing ID cards; copying; printing; faxing and scanning; coordinating with other campus departments on the issuance of ID cards; and assisting with vendor set up for the eagle dollars program.

 

Required Qualifications & Experience: Equivalent to two years of full-time experience in the servicing, maintenance, operation, or assembly of equipment including experience using hand tools to make adjustments following specific procedures for maintenance or equivalent to two years of trade school or apprentice training in equipment repair. Incumbent must have basic knowledge and ability to use operating system features, and network protocols as applicable to equipment area. Incumbent must possess excellent interpersonal communication, and customer service skills. Incumbent must be dependable, detail oriented, computer proficient, and able to lift 25 lbs. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the application status of applicants or continued employment of current CSU employees who may apply for the position.

 

Desired Qualifications:  Experience working with Blackboard Transact and Pharros Uniprint systems. Experience working with Microsoft Office and Operating system. Experience working with POS cashiering transactions. Knowledge of PeopleSoft Student Administration system.
